# AVO, the plate scanner

AVO is a food tracking app for iPhone and Android, published by Firo Factory LLC, built for people who gave up on logging because it was too much work. You photograph a meal. AVO names every food on the plate, works out each amount, and logs the calories, macros, vitamins and minerals — nothing to type, weigh or search for. A photo is not required: you can type or say what you ate instead, hours later if need be.

Every meal also gets a Quality Score out of 10, which can be shared as a picture. That score is four readings rather than one number invented here: Nourishment Density (vitamins and minerals per calorie), Processing Level (the four NOVA food-processing groups), Glucose Impact (how fast a meal turns into sugar in your body, read against the published glycemic bands) and Inflammatory Balance. Every meal in the app carries a “How this is scored” button with the whole breakdown.

Over a week, AVO shows the vitamins and minerals you keep coming up short on, and foods that fill the gap. It also offers one swap per meal: a single food traded for a better one, with the reason and what the trade moves.

AVO gives general nutrition information, not medical advice. Every number it prints is an estimate.

This site is the app's marketing page and nothing else: no account, no sign-in, and no meal data. AVO itself is installed from the App Store or Google Play.
